David Richter (MDiv, Covenant Theological Seminary) is a church planter preparing to launch a new PCA congregation in Stony Brook, New York. He became a Christian in college through the ministry of RUF at Mississippi State University. Since then, he has served with RUF at Vanderbilt University, as a missionary with MTW in Edinburgh, Scotland, as a L’Abri worker in Rochester, Minnesota, as a pastor at Trinity PCA in Rochester, as the founding planter of Seven Hills PCA in Somerville, Massachusetts, and most recently as Lead Pastor of City Church of East Nashville. He now turns toward the north shore of Long Island, where he hopes to cultivate a gospel-centered church marked by biblical faithfulness, warm hospitality, and gracious engagement with skeptics, seekers, and long time Long Island residence. He is married to Kelly Richter (MAC, Covenant Theological Seminary) and together they have two wonderful children, Sam and Luci.
